There are so many studies that show that marijuana can help treat numerous ailments that anyone who says marijuana is not medicine should be required by law to shut up. Marijuana is medicine, and that’s a fact. Yet another study has been released showing that marijuana can help those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Per HNGN : \n \n Marijuana can possibly be a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, say neuroscientists at the University of South Florida. \nResearchers found that delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound found in marijuana can slow down the progress of Alzheimer’s disease. \nAccording to their findings, THC can lessen the production of amyloid beta, a protein found in a soluble form in most aging brains. Furthermore, it can also stop abnormal accumulation of amyloid beta. Researchers said this is important because the buildup of amyloid beta is believed to be one of the pathological hallmarks of early neurodegenerative disease. \nApart from this, researchers also found that low levels of the marijuana compound improve mitochondrial function which in turn improves energy supply energy, transmits signals and in general improves brain health. \n \n If you know someone that suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, you should look more into this. If you try it and it doesn’t seem to help, then so be it. But if you have tried everything and it doesn’t seem to help, then consider giving marijuana a try for yourself or your loved ones. There are numerous studies that corroborate the findings of this particular study.
