Prices I see on menus in New England are more or less the same if you buy an ounce at a time. I've never set foot in one of those places, and I can't wait. The old school system I use is a guy I know from a mmj patients' group in the late 1990s, but still subject to unexpected glitches and having to do the usual spy-drop rendezvous in Manhattan. Maybe living in New York pushes the price up, like for everything else.
Ever since the 70s ($10 ounces from México, with seeds), it's been an iffy process. And whatever it is you get is what you get. It's always middling stuff from my source, because they have to please a large discerning audience but not so wonderful that there isn't enough there to last to the next time (mostly still for patients, many homebound). So I really don't know where it comes from, ultimately. Once I got a couple of bags with strain names on them, otherwise it's all anonymous. Maybe Indica, maybe hybrid. Probably kind of dry.
I'd like to try Eaze for once, ffs. I'd like to try a brownie. I might even cook with the stuff. We go to Massachusetts for Christmas so we can visit a place then, they seem to have gotten everyone in the supply chain permitted up and things should get going in "a few weeks.". NETA Northampton looks expensive, but they may be the first one out the gate. We may get over the novelty of it but for now I'm hoping for legalization. I've been waiting a long time for this.
It's hard to justify the costs of purchasing weed at a dispensary when you have connections of obtaining it elsewhere and know where it comes from.
