Great article with lots of good information. I would like to add one thing concerning soil pH. Soil pH is not something to be "corrected" but is rather an indication of the mineral content and balance in the soil. If the total CEC (cation exchange capacity) of the soil is balanced with calcium at 68%, magnesium at 12% and potassium at 4% the pH will settle to 6.4 - 6.8.
