Marijuana demand in Hawaii set to skyrocket as tourists get access to medical dispensaries. Hawaii's medical dispensaries are quietly preparing for a big wave of new customers; tourists visiting Hawaii from mainland states. Hawaii's legislature passed House Bill 2729 (HB2729) which gives visitors to Hawaii the right to purchase medical marijuana at Hawaiian medical dispensaries if they already have a medical card in their home state or a letter from the Primary Care Physician stating that they have a debilitating medical condition. Visitors will simply visit a dispensary, such as alohagreen.org or noacares.com to fill out the paperwork and pay a $45 fee to the State of Hawaii's Department of Health. Ivy Lou Hibbitt or CertiCann.com said that allowing tourists to access their medication while on vacation in Hawaii will make Hawaii even more desirable to the many medical marijuana patients on the mainland.
