Oregon Cannabis Platforms Partner on Summer Science Series for the Community

Leah Maurer

The Weed Blog is proud and excited to announce our latest event project!

We will be partnering with the Sativa Science Club, a grassroots cannabis education initiative with a mission to dispel myths about cannabis and replace them with evidence-based facts. Their mission certainly crosses with The Weed Blog's, as they are also working to bridge the gap between cannabis businesses and their surrounding communities. They offer programs and services designed to improve employability, increase profitability, and empower advocates worldwide.

Our platforms have joined forces to bring you a summer full of science with our Summer Science Series! Join us from 6-9pm at the Lagunitas Community Room in Portland, Oregon for a four part fundraiser series. These educational networking events are intended to raise awareness about local cannabis resources and bring the community together for some much needed R&R. All while supporting a cause! RSVP early or just go for it and get your series pass to save nearly 50%. We'll even set aside a beer for you.

"Sativa Science Club could not be more excited to partner with our friends at The Weed Blog! Together we look forward to bringing you the very best in community health education and entertainment all summer long!" said Mary Jane Poppins, founder of Sativa Science Club.

Green Light Law Group (GLLG), a Portland-based firm focused on providing legal solutions to Oregon’s cannabis industry, has graciously agreed to be an ongoing sponsor throughout the event series and will provide food and and non-alcoholic beverages for event attendees. The attorneys at there have nearly thirty years combined legal experience and an in-depth operational knowledge of Oregon’s cannabis industry. Green Light is uniquely positioned to provide legal services and counseling for new entrepreneurs, financiers, and established companies.

"Green Light Law Group is very excited to be a part of this summer education series. Bringing cannabis education to the community along with raising money for a good cause is a brilliant idea and an easy one to support," said Brad Blommer, attorney and partner at GLLG.

The first event in this series will be on June 29th! Event details below...
